A sleeping hog badger (1)

Image: Hog badger (Arctonyx collaris).

Comments

This is the first of two pictures of a hog badger which was found sleeping out in the open during daylight. The photographer, Smith Sutibut of the Bangkok Post, was driving along the forest road through Kaengkrachan National Park in Thailand's Phetchaburi province when he spotted the badger lying beside the track. Reaching for his camera, he accidentally knocked the horn - but the hog badger was oblivious to the sound and carried on sleeping!
